Over these past years, I have notice the very, very thin skinned, reactionary responses to any thing we say or suggest to the extent of silencing open dialogue. Many moons past, there were MEN's ONLY Clubs and then that practice was successfully challenged and changed. Then came WOMEN's ONLY CLUBS and that continues to our present time, unchallenged. Why? Well society has acknowledged some unique need for Females to have a place, free of Males, ie gyms.
There was, for a gazillion years in USA places for WHITES ONLY. While there are volumes of legal books clearly stating that practice is illegal, it continues to this very day and one could say, it is on an upswing in some areas.
Don't even get started on the issue of Gender rights, [full disclosure, I am in favour] where that pendulum has swung from right to left now on its way back to right.
My point is this, on some level we are all bias. What we should all strive for is become all in support of Equality. Perhaps it is time for the WORLD ASIAN GAMES> Oh, there is a form of that already! Ok we need to recognize that some areas of our psyche limits our ability to compete competitively against others more physically predisposed to be competitive in that field. But over time, we evolve.
Take the sport of basket ball. Until recent years, Asians were no where present in that DOMINATED AMERICAN SPORT. Now that has changed.
Take the sport of baseball. Until recent years. Asians were no where present in that DOMINATED AMERICAN SPORT. Now that has changed.
Take the sport of Track and Field. Until recent years, correction. At the present time, Asians are UNDER REPRESENTED on the podiums, more specifically those podiums of 100 meter sprint event.
Not unlike those previous other events, "Everything in time and nothing before its time" and in time this too will be a thing of the past/

It is rumoured, ( started by me) that the Americans DID NOT protest the Olympics against Russia for political reasons but because they did not with to lose face by losing the 100 meter to an Asian sprinter.
