I Make No Promises To Agree only to listen
The Essence Of Us~
Say it while I’m able to listen
As we get on in life
we soon find the value
of leaving no jagged edges
between
those we may
soon be separated from
and that of ourselves.
In time
we’ll come to realize
the storms will blow over
the tidal waves will subside
but the words we speak
will forever leave the jagged
razor shape edge of silence
Words becoming the silence
of broken hearts
will soon ignite the residue
of sadness within our souls
And precious memories
that once were the essence of us
soon dissipates into nothingness
and we would have lived a life lost
