That has got to be one of the most honoured request that could be made of one writer to another. After decades of considering myself a "Wana-be writer" I only recently began to walk more comfortably in the shoes called a Writer.

And now to have another asked for an opinion, to me, is most humbling and such wonderful exhibiting of respect.

Firstly let me say, by you just being on this forum will help you greatly. The Editors that have been instrumental in encouragement and support such as

and depending on your range of writing

...will be very supportive of building your content.

Secondly, DO NOT WRITE EVERY DAY. I know what so many have said but you must rest and take time away from time to time. I would say, WRITE EVERY TIME YOU FEEL INSPIRED. So always have your note, (ie_on your phone) ready and be in 2am or in the middle of whatever, STOP, Write it down, then continue with what you were doing.

DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY until you have squeezed every last drop of nutrients out of those words. Often times you will find that days, weeks, months perhaps even years after you buried some writing as junk, you will awake to the inspiration that become to very key to unlocking its once illusive essence.

BE PATIENT. Make a decision, if you are going to write about what you know, then do so. If you are going to write about what you are imagining, then do so. If you are going to write about your opinion based on what you have seen, heard or experienced, then do so. But in all cases
