Morning awaits my arrival
like the sun
awaits the dawn
And when my night
refuses to end
It’s simply my un-acceptance
that you’re gone!

Tears will fall
awaiting no permission
And through it all
our greatest of sorrows
begs only for one
sincere confession
Perhaps today
our prayers will be answered
with no conditions

And when eventually
night should again fall
Let us be worthy of saying
Today we stood tall
Because
Morning will again
await our arrival
like the winter awaits the fall
And only love
will conquer
