Meg Barclay; Alexainie thank you both for your views. I am one of the newbies and as such, did not know enough about the tag line to have offered what little I could. Like one writer stated, I have a simple policy that governs my sharing. “Does it keep me up at night because I DID NOT DO IT? If it (would) does then I just give what I can, mostly speaking here of the homeless, panhandlers etc..
What is always of concern to me on these matters is more the LASTING EFFECT it will continue to have on the TRULY IN NEED. When a good Samaritan is taken advantage of it affects the ENTIRE village and this good Samaritan is feeling hurt to think that the Village has been hurt.
Sadly it always seems so much creativity and effort can be vested into doing misdeeds when half that effort could have done so much more good.
