Justin I awoke this morning feeling a bit of anxiety about the week ahead but coming off of what was a most wonderful, simply, enjoyable, “War Zone” kind of prices weekend, spent with family and friends at local events and loving every single moment of it. Our local, fifteen years running, Caribbean “Jerk Fest” was excellent entertainment of our multicultural communities. Adding to that and yes running on the same weekend just past, was yet another Street festival “War Zone” kind of prices called “Taste Of The Danforth”. This unique and very special street festival takes in approximately one mile of a major street that runs through our very enriched Greek community and again exhibits our multiculturalism.
Despite all this my Monday morning anxiety was slowly beginning to take a foothold in my cognitive self until awaking to your anxiety busting, wonderfully written, anger free, honest reflection of the very “War Zone” kind of simplistic life that I have only just this weekend celebrated. It was a most welcome article to remind me that I am indeed part of a Global Community that does not all start at the base of a Trump Tower mentality.
Your piece so very completely represents my mantra of “Choose Living Over Existing,” (#cloe) and life’s most memorable moments coming not from atop the skyline as viewed from one’s private plane, nor does it come from above the Eiffel Tower window office point of view, it comes instead from the hearts and minds of those wishing to build memories, not with their cameras and video tapes but with their own actionable participation in their communities.
You sir have an open invitation to come visit our “Humanity Zones’ as I would love, time being on our side, to visit your “Humanity Zone” of life taking its heavenly stroll as represented by each of us.
Thank you so very much for sending my Monday morning anxiety packing.
