As I approached the café I could hear the haunting melodically intoxicating sound of the female vocalist
I could almost taste the sultry air of pain and sorrow and I became immobilized.
As if a venomous strike from within the plume of stale smoky air had escaped with one solitary purpose, to infect my soul.
My feet stopped moving, my eyes became transfixed upon the silhouette of this female performer
With the exception of the intermittent visual distraction caused by the impolite patron daring to move for one reason or another and having done so while she sang, I could not stem the bleeding in my soul
A genuinely painful, solitary warm tear flowed from my eye and I did not even understand but for a possible few words all resulting from my mind’s translation

“this bitter sweet love of you”
You having forsaken eternity
just for one more second or two
You having loved me so completely
there was no more room for you
And now that you are gone
I am beyond lost without you
So each night I repeat in vain this dance
I walk by hoping you will once
again love me like you use to
I walk by hoping you will once
again be my what to do
I’ll forever love you
