Healing is a misunderstood concept. One never truly heals. What we mistake for healing is in fact a hardened callus that protects the once very tender flesh below.
At various times in our lives something or someone will come along and touch us in such a way that will penetrate that callus reminding us that once we hurt so very badly.
But that is OK.
It is akin to giving birth. It is said, if mothers truly remembered the intense pain of giving birth they would never again find themselves in that place. But who among us could deny the beauty that comes from such pain.
Healing in not found in our efforts to forget but in fact in our ability to forgive.
True Love is forgiveness thus we heal
